Hello, i have used the hi-gloss pattern coat a while now. I use it with the spray cup gun and a #3 nozzle, and i thin the coat with about 10% acetone

I always get a bad result with lots of tiny high spots. But this morning I got a good result with a flat surface, but I dont understand why.

How do you do it, and what is the best way to apply it with a cup gun?

Cleaning a HVLP gun is quick and easy too, I've never found cleaning the cup gun to be any easier aside from being able to just throw the cup.

I would recommend getting a cheapish HVLP. I've been using the same one that fibreglast and composite envision sells (around $100) for 2 years spraying all sorts of coatings from 2ks to Duratec to gelcoats. Never had an issue and gives a much more consistent finish off the gun.
