I was just wondering, when finishing off large carbon pieces how do you make the edges (where cutting or drilling is required) look as good as the rest of the piece. As in, during the video tutorial for the carbon bonnet they cut and trimmed the edges but this would leave quite a large amount of scuffing, no?

you can just sand it smooth and make a straight or chamfered finish Smile just use some sanding paper if you don't want to see the layers (if perhaps you used a core or Aramid or something) you can just 'paint' the edge with some coloured epoxy

Once sanded, do you re-epoxy the edge to see it, or the whole bonnet? I thought about sanding the edge then spraying some auto clear over the whole part?

sand the edge or entire part as well (if needed) then clearcoat everything and it should be fine
