However, in general terms of normal polyester resins, There should definitely be a tack stage. Did it go off at all?? Check your catalyst ratio very carefully and also consider the temperature of the environment you are working in. Group: Awaiting Activation Posts: 3, Visits: 3	Hi, I am new to composite stuff. I am trying to make a small carbon fiber part. But when I lay down my first layer of resin, it doesn't get tacky. I waited for more than 20 mins. I am using Silmar 249A polyester surfboard resin. Does this resin ever get tacky? Thanks
