Hi,
I have recently had some prototype parts 3d printed for testing. Unfortunately the geometry did not allow for coating/polishing. I was thinking, maybe I could dip my models in a relatively low viscosity resin (or ideally rubber) in order to allow the resin to enter the pores of my part and then allow to polymerize thus creating a better surface. Do you have any ideas on whether this is possible or not? Could I perhaps use some sort of thinner to achieve a lower viscosity without slowing the polymerization process down too much? Spraying the resin on the part is also an option, but again it would need to have a low viscosity.
Thanks in advance,
George

You could try our
IN2Epoxy Infusion Resin
as its the thinnest resin we have.
It depends on the material as well. Perhaps test a sample piece with wax as waxes can fill pores.
