Hello, 

Do you think it's a good idea to first add a layer of clear gel coat to mould before infusion.
The idea is to better protect against UV and prevent fibers getting to the surface.

You can do this if you are confident that the gel coat is not going to pool in any crevasses as this will make the part look resin rich in those areas assuming you are using a clear gel coat.
