Hi, kaperomako
I had a similar problem.
So I've used a gluespray called "Aerofix 2" to stick the first layer onto the mould.
When I demoulded I had some dry spots and a strange finish.
It still guessing but I think the strange finish is caused by an over-use of sprayglue.
The dryspots are due to the fact their was a small leak in the bag so presure was lost and I had some dry spots.
How I solved it;
Clean the part with some hot-water and a bit of soap.
Use some washing alcohol (NOT ACETONE).
This should remove a big part of the sprayglue.
After that I've sanded the part with different sanding grids.
Add some new coats on top of it
Sand in between the coats and pollish.
You should get a nice finish
Lots of work, but at least you still have your part with a good finish.
How you could solve all of this?! use a gelcoat if weight is not important.
My plan was to go as light as possible so gelcoat would have been an extra weight.
Hope this helps you a bit, Feel free to ask more questions if needed!

kind attention. need some help about "cleaning" out the residues let by the 3m composite spray glue. although my part is not 100% finish, i will like to try the process that matthieutje65 use for his carbon fiber helmet. but i was wondering if this residue will be annoying and get my part ugly.
can anyone help me with what to use in order to clean up my part.
