Just used your fishing pole repair kit and got to say it worked great. Instead of polishing I finished my repair with a thin coat of resin but must have under estimated the hardener as after 24 hours it is still tacky. What can I do to resolve this?

Hi

Scrape off the goo and wash off the rest with acetone. Scuff and re-apply properly mixed epoxy.

Epoxy shows no mercy when not mixed in exact proportions like polyester does.

Been there done that.

What is the ambient temperature ? if its too cold it will not activate or slow down the process that is assuming that the ratio is correct and mixed well.

As said if heat won't cure it, the only solution is scraping it off and re-applying fresh resin. 

We always recommend that with epoxies you use the exact ratio on the bottle down to the nearest gram (or better) where possible.

Yes that should be fine.  Acetone will break down uncured and partially cured resin so it should help you recover the part.
