Hello,

Since a while all my new moulds keep failing on releasing the carbon.
All moulds are cured and polished and use a minimum of 5 chemical release layers.

All is made in the autoclave but never had these problems with other moulds made from the same material.

Even now the mould sticks on the carbon and cant even get it loose with a hammer.
Can the chemical release agent get too old to work? do i need to shake it?

Yes and yes. Shelf life of around 12 months depends on manufacturer (but i would say drop in performance would be gradual not going from perfect releas to fully stuck).

Remember that EasyLease is hydroscopic so if you have had the lid left off or not fully sealed and/or you open it a lot, that will degrade it quicker.  Also if your moulds post cure was not done properly, that may cause issues too.
