I would advise you to not try and pour to the maximum thickness because having just poured a single object where the total mass of Glasscast 50 was 550 kilos, it is best to pour in smaller layers than try to achieve the maximum. This is especially the case when the material is insulated by the timber/mold form. We cast in 15 -18 mm layers and still had some issues, the final thickness of the piece was 150 mm. We are now producing a second identical piece and will pour in 15 mm layers, also make sure that your material is at least 20 C and the environment where you are pouring it otherwise you will have clouding and if the material is warmer it should degas - if it is colder it will not properly degas and when the material does cure the bubbles trapped will get bigger.

I am making a resin river table where the river will be approximately 50mm deep.

I see your glasscast 50 resin is for 25mm deep as a maximum and wondered whether you can pour additional 25mm on the first 25mm pour when it reaches the B cure stage or whether this would be too much resin curing at the same time.

Is it best to pour a second 25mm pour on top of the first 25mm pour at the B cure stage, or is it best to sand the surface to key it and then pour the second 25mm pour?
