Hello,

Been stalking these forums for a while as I am planning on making a Whitewater Kayak using Infusion.

One question I haven't been able to find the answer to, will I need to use flow media in areas where I have a contour-scrim foam core?

My layup in the Hull of the kayak will be: Mold, 2 Layers 11oz carbon, Corecell M80 6mm Contour Scrim (knife cut) Foam, 1 more layer of 11oz Carbon, Peel Ply, Vac Bag.

Do I need, or should I use a layer of flow media in-between the peel-ply and vac bag? I will definitely be using it in areas without the foam, I'm partially worried about the resin reaching the bottom layer(s) of fabric if a flow media is used.

Also, any estimation of the amount of resin that will be consumed by the foam?

Thanks!
