Is there a florescent additive for light persistence?

Working on an interest led display project, in our current setup the way the multitude of leds are addressed and lit can cause some strobing. Most noticable when moving the head left to right (think the old red led display boards)

I want to try and eliminator this strobing effect by using some kind of florescent additive to clear polyurethane resin. So the florescent only needs to glow for a fraction of a second to fill in to the next led duty cycle.

Is there anything like that? I dont need to worry about colour accuracy, this is just a tungsten temperature white led...

I am not aware of any pigments like that.

You are fussy :-) If you are looking for something that lasts milliseconds then good luck and please let us know if you find anything at it would be useful :-)

Yep i am BigGrin Sorry Smile but yeah a full glow would break the refresh rate of the display... I just want to reduce strobeing... Never mind though it was only a off chance question, in case anyone knew of a pigment for it.

Stupid question, probably, but can't you increase the refresh rate?

Its a limitation of the multiplexer... Even if it could go faster it would just mean the strobe will be slightly faster.... But it would still be there... It cant get to the rates needed for true image persistence without any artifacts.
Its also not critical tbh. it was just an off chance question that might improve it... A personal nitpick of mine BigGrin

The trouble with nitpicks is they can become obsessions if you are not careful :-)
