Guys, I'm still using this Elmers stuff, made many parts with it including very tricky shapes with tight corners - no issues whatsoever and its incredibly cheap.

I have tried "Infutac" from french Diatex, holds thing in place nicely but leaves fiber trace on the mold surface that has to be wet sanded to remove,
maybe I use alittle to much, or leave in on to long before infusing, dont know, but it has given me a whole lot of extra job.

OK. Smile

By the way, I live in Europe (near Paris) and this week I've tried to be delivered a box of 3M ACPS from US retailers, but it is impossible. They are not allowed to ship it this way Sad

Hi I have a good story about the spray adhesive, seeking Stayz discovered that the distributor for Europe was less than 70km from my city, I contacted them and they said they had saved hundreds of spray they could not sell because they were defective, that if I wanted to try them gave me one. When I visit his shop to catch the spray. Indeed its spray is defective, to used once, the next day it was all stuck and useless. From then probe different products and brands, it is certainly my choice spraymount 3m, and I have made many infusions and the result is perfect, even among gc50 gelcoat and the first layer of carbon fiber.

Could we get some info from EasyComposites to regarding the in-can shelf life of StayZ? I have used mine twice and it has since been standing for close to a 8 months. I would be quite dissapointed to find it has gone off, due to the price of it and that it is not available. The results were very good.

Apart from that, I have found a product from 3M with similar specifications. I have not had any experience with it, but maybe EC can give some insights, get some samples and maybe add it to the range?

This is the stuff I've been using

http://www.ecfibreglasssupplies.co.uk/p-2214-aerofix-2-spray-adhesive-500ml.aspx

Only need to use it VERY lightly. Also been using it by rolling out a length of carbon, giving it a very light mist and it holds its shape when cut, not quite as drapable as pro finish but the same level of neat cutting
Could you tell whether it is epoxy-compatible lke zyvax sprayZ ? Did you experienced any unwanted side-effects ?

What a reseller in Italy told me is that stayz was going to cure in the cans in two weeks time. So they had really short shelf life so they stopped selling until they could find a solution for this!
Interesting,
2 weeks is short time indeed. Hope they will fix this. 2 months would be more acceptable.
thank you for the info Smile
