Using XC110 and loving it. Very easy to get good results. Only feedback is that the tack is fairly low which can make layup a bit tricky sometimes. Warming the prepreg offers temporary relief but the material just doesn't hold and lifts away from the mold surface as soon as it cools. We're using a semi-permanent mold release available here in the States - manufactured by Axel if that means anything to anyone. Do all XC110 users think the tack is pretty low, or do we need to try a lower slip mold release?

Also, any thoughts about dying the resin system black? The only cosmetic issues we end up with sometimes is slight bridging, and the milky resin draws your eye to the flaw immediately. Changing the layup solves the problem but stuff happens and if the bridges cured black I think it would make the material a bit more idiot proof and we'd have a bit less work in the finishing process.

Thanks, all.

The tack does feel slightly lower than some other pre-pregs I (and others here) have used but I have not experienced the issues of it falling away from the surface after cooling.  Heating it slightly has always been enough for it to work properly on the projects I have seen done.  I wonder if your release agent is just a bit more "slippery" on the surface than others on the market?
