HI ALL,

im asking for the second opinion.
right now my final bagging sequence are
1-layer of peel ply
5-layer of glass cloth (at specific area)
1-layer of NP
1 layer of glass cloth (all area)
2 layer of N10
1-layer of bagging film.
the idea of 5 layers of glass cloth is to absorb extra resin on that specific area to make it thinner.
the problem I faced is only 2 layer of glass cloth are absorbing the resin, the 3 layers didn't absorb any resin
what can I do to make the resin bleed more so that all the glass cloth absorb the resin?

the issue I face is when I make trial, all the 5 layers of glass cloth absorb the resin, but the second trial I did with all the variable controls, only 2 layers that contact with peel ply infused with resin the rest didn't.

I'm really not certain what you are trying to achieve here... are you using pre-preg? Or wet lay? If it is pre-preg, why is there excess resin? If it is wet lay, why are you using glass to absorb excess resin rather than breather?

Very confused...

yes, im using pre-preg. there is no excess resin, i just want to remove resin so that it can achieve the thickness that i want. btw on my first trial, the 5 layer of glass that im using absorb the resin at that area and the thickness at that area achieve my requirement. im using breather but the glass cloth just to absorb more resin.

Your material (the number of plies) sets your thickness not the amount of resin you bleed

Removing resin will have no effect on the thickness of the finished product, as f1rob says, but it will make it weaker as prepreg is loaded with the precise quantity of resin required for the cloth type and weight being used.
