Hi
Looking for a bit of advice here.
I have this project on the go at the moment.
I want to pour a clear coat of glasscast 3 to get the surface completely flat.
If I do the pour, say up to 3mm thick will I still get the blue colour coming through and will it definitely make the table completely flat?
Also, what is the best products to remove all the dust and what is the best product to tape round the table to act as a border

Thanks warren. Really want to use as thin a pour as possible. What’s the minimum depth I should go for?Would it still work ok with a 1mm depth of pour?

You need to be about 1.7mm or thicker for the resin to self level at its best. Thinner than that and you tend to find the surface is not as smooth.

Ok warren. Thanks for that. Last query then as I’ve ordered the glasscast 3 yesterday. So if I aim for a 2mm pour on the base. Once cured, do the same for the top side. What is the best thing to do....

It is a personal preference on appearance really. Some people will leave a gap between the mould edge and the wood so they can cast that gap in resin to give an even resin thickness around the table....
