Group: Forum Members Posts: 59, Visits: 606	NikCFC (28/10/2012) Excellent Result!!! Did you use any gelcoat on the mold? Process of producing the part was not use any gel coat like GC 50, just normal wax no 8 without buffing the surface (not gloss surface) to void hard sticking when demolds. The gloss finish is only clear coat and polishing work.

Why not just clear coat, have you seen any advantages??? Yes it takes lots of advantage, plastic primer applied first to ensure that the clear coat get the proper surface to stick on the carbon fibre parts, then void pin holes effect or fish eye when clear coat apply.
