Group: Forum Members Posts: 14, Visits: 37	HI! My carbon fiber part got ruined since it got stuck to the mold. I sealed it with epoxy and applied 1 layer of mold release wax. It did not work. I have to try again and I bought Easycomposites PVA Mould Release Agent » I will get it in about a week(it's holiday times) but I cant wait to try again and am thinking about using silicon as a releas agent. I googled for solutions and found out thatI should avoid any wax that contains silicon. I will use/try Vaseline....

You have several issues here: your mould seems to be made of wood and body filler. These are surfaces, wich are really difficult to get a good release from. A coat of 2 component (!) Laquer would be....

No, 1 component lacquer almost always makes trouble during demoulding. Almost as bad as body filler.

just buy a 2 part polyester bodyfiller in a local diy store, make sure to seal al the bodyfiller with the pattern primer from EC before making a mould, Sorry I'm to late but vaseline or any other...
