Can PVA be used as a release agent on the pattern for the initial cure then washed of the mould when the pattern is removed for the post cure ?.

What temperature will the mould reach in the initial cure ?.

How long is the shelf life ?.

Cheers.

Although PVA could be used for the room temperature cure, we would generally avoid it for high quality parts as PVA leaves slight surface marring which needs to be polished out.  A modern chemical release agent would be a better choice,

The actual exotherm depends on a variety of factors. However in our experience, it has been fine on various foam based patterns which have a low HDT so I suspect you wouldn't have a problem with it reaching 65C. The Shelf life is 12 months from manufacture.
