Hello everybody,
I am looking to buy UD carbon fibre prepreg with a rather low temp cure and around 300g m2 and 45%resin something thin, standard or intermediate modulus. The application is to bond tubes (of Carbon fiber as well). I know (from having seen people working with it) that the product I am looking for look like this:

But looking at the suppliers I saw that there is many Prepregs similar to what I am looking for and one to another when comparing the specs, BUT when looking at the picture (wich seems like the real thing and not a stock picture) it looks like a completely different product....
And I guess it is, only I don't know how looking at the written specs I can find what I am looking for...

Here are a few examples, all of those are carbon fiber UD prepreg of a comparable thickness...

I am sure this is a stupid question as I am just looking for the name of a type of product but I can't find any clue on this...

Thank you in advance for your answer

In a couple of weeks, we are hoping to have our own UD pre-preg manufactured for us in stock. This is a Toray T700 based UD 300gsm fabric and comes on a 300mm wide roll. This is designed for autoclave use using the XC130 resin system seen in some of our other pre-pregs..

As soon as it is available, we will list it on the website and have further more specific details on cure cycle etc.

The picture you show looks like a picture of a raw UD fabric before it has been through the toll impregnation process which adds the resin, as it has no backing papers to stop it sticking together.  You will also find different weavers use different methods to hold the UD together.  Some use visble mesh fabrics or stitching, others use an internal net or mesh to hold it together.

Allright thank you for your answer, so the visual difference is due to the technique used to hold together the UD.
