Hi all,
I've been doing a lot of wet lay recently and it can be a lot of effort per part to ensure a pinhole free finish. I am looking to start resin infusing and wondered if anyone has any experience with the following pump:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-5CFM-1-4HP-Single-Stage-Vacuum-Pump-Air-Conditioning-Refrigeration-Vacuum-5Pa-/122085713861?hash=item1c6ce027c5:g:xWwAAOSwgZ1XsW4m
Reason I ask is because its cheap! Will it be up to the job? the parts I am making are smaller than a dinner plate.
Also, is it risky to infuse without a catch pot/vacuum chamber if I leave enough silicone hosing on the pump side?
Best Regards,
James
