Sounds like an interesting technique!!
Lol it's not really as interesting as it sounds but it works very well. It's the same method you'd use if you we're bonding two carbon parts together, basically you'd just be giving the surface a good key.

How do. Yeah I can fire some pics up but not for a few days as I'm away from home at the minute on my Christmas holidays at the inlays lol

Hi Carbon Mike
Could you post a few pictures of parts you have done this technic to?
I did something similar years ago where I got a cut out label taped down to polished stainless steel and lightly sand blasted it.
It came out really nice. I am curious what it looks like on Carbon Fiber.
Thanks
Fred

You can shot blast it using a fine glass media, the same way companies etch glass. Also gives an awesome key for spraying a clear coat laquer onto it leaving no visible evidence of any kind media blasting but improves the gloss ten fold!

Hey again,
Do you think its possible to emboss or etch carbon fibre. Like a Logo.
The only disadvantage I can think of would be if its too deep, it may break the fibre and melt the resin around the surroundings.
