Had a real hard time removing flow media and peel ply from a fairly complex mould. Do you think this perforated release film would be ok between the flow media and the peel ply ?

perforations are 0.8mm or  .031"   at 5mm spacing

Thanks

Rod.

Yep that will work fine. Even better is the 'bread wrap' that Easy Composites have.

Thankyou Hanaldo , I appreciate your input. Hope you can see my mould attached and the detail in the centre which gives me trouble when

removing the flow media / peel ply.  I feed this job through holes in  those large lugs in the centre which are cut out, 1st time I infused I just doubled up on some

flow media where the tubes poked through the mould. Must have been too much restriction as it infused real slow , too slow as it gelled  1/2 way .

I will place some spiral over the inlet  holes next time unless you have a better idea for me ??

Yeh I can see why it would make removing the consumables hard.

I think you're making life harder than it needs to be though, there's no need to feed the tube through the mould? Just infuse it regularly with a infusion connector.

Your probably right bud , I just thought I could get a more reliable seal on a nice flat surface rather than wrinkly vac bag.  I have sanded the aft sides nice and smooth and flat where the tubes go through.

I use  flanged bush which slides over the tube and sealed with a tack tape doughnut against the mould.
