Hi guys,

Is there any body can give me some idea how to make a carbon fibre tube?
what process can be reliable to make carbon fibre tube?
How to build the mould for the tube?

Looking forward to your advice

Morning Leon,
I was thinking this but lacked ways to do it without having a 2pc mould, and the 2 halves being bonded back together. There was a thread on here using expanding silicone to give the pressure on the top half, providing on constant piece of tube, but that seems overkill for what it sounds like you want to do.

Can you use silicone hoses as a mould and then pull them out when cured?

Am very interested in this also, and been looking at using the Braided Sleeve to make the tube. Issue that's got me though is bending it to make say an S bend or something. The silicone hose sounds good, but in a case like an S shaped tube getting it out could be an issue no? or just really polish it up first? or is there possibly some polyuathane rode which could be use in it and dissolved out later as an idea? But am very interested in knowing a good solution to this other than a two part mould which would be bit overkill for what I'm trying to fashion.

I assume the balloon would be coated in some sort of release agent.

I had an idea of a cheap way to make a bladder.
Use an inner tube of a bike (or car if you need wider) and cut it to length, seal the ends. You would also have a ready made valve attached which you can easily pump up with a foot pump or compressor. BigGrin Genius

You could quite easily use a vac bag inside a two piece mould to make a tube. Then envelope bag the entire mould and vac it.
