I have used marine 2-component polyurethane clear coat ... Very strong stuff ..

one note on this stuff is that you need to do any finishing within a couple of days, any more than this and it's so hard you're fcuk'd

Same stuff I use too! Very tough stuff. Definitely need to do finishing work the next day ideally, otherwise it will take you weeks.
Horrible stuff for your health though, DO NOT spray it without a quality mask!
