I tried another brand called Enviro Tex Lite that was intended for the same purpose of coating timber table tops etc. It worked well but it did not have the hardness of a typical cured laminating epoxy. It remained with slight softness to it which may be ok until you need to sand it. The heat from sanding made it even softer so it just did not sand well or fast and for me was just not practical. It was kind of plastic like.
