The part is under vacuum but the air inside the oven needs to be moved around to even out the heat, like a fan oven in the kitchen

Ok, I see what you mean now and that makes sense. I´m planning on making one so I guess I should find some kind of fan that makes the air inside the oven to flow the heat around. The idea is to use it to do some post cure on the parts to give it more structural resistance.

I have been reading all the posts regarding curing ovens in this forum.
I was wondering about how the vaccum and the fans work togheter, if the oven is on a vaccum status shouldn't it be without any air? If so what's the fan role?!
Thanks for all I've already learned here.

As above Ebay/bid spotter for bargins £200/£300 should get you going with a small bench top oven . Very easy to install vac and away you go

Few years ago knew someone who made all the mirrors for pro drive-they were done in a domestic oven with a hole drilled through the side for vac ! so it is possible

Only thing to watch out with lab ovens is if they have circulation fans fitted and have done a lot of high temp work it kills the motors

I just purchased a couple of (damaged) lab ovens of ebay for a reasonable price. I will have to make sure they work properly but they do come up now and again on there. Other auction sites like bidpsotter are also very good for machinery and equipment.
AS brainfart has stated you can make your own, there are a few guides online, if you search for powder coating oven there are a couple of forums in america that have a lot of details.

If you buy new, yes, they are quite pricey. Even on Ebay and other auction sites for used lab equipment you have to expect to pay a lot of money.
I have found suitable old laboratory heating cabinets by dumpster diving at the local university and other research institutions. Non-functional ones could have been repaired relatively easily.

Yes. Build your own. A well insulated sheet metal box, a fan and heating elements from household ovens, a good solid state relais, a suitable PID controller and a temperature sensor from Ebay will get you started.
For small parts even an old kitchen oven can be modified to work satisfactorily by replacing the temperature regulator. Unmodified ovens have a terrible temperature swing and are very inaccurate, use suitable electronics (PID controller) and temperature sensors to tighten this up.

Hello,

the question is in the title, I'd like to know where to find a curing oven and how much does it costs.
I imagine that they are very expensive. Is there a more economical solution to make carbon parts with pre pregs?

Thanks in advance
