Just as an extra bit of feedback...

Mine came wrapped in brown paper rather than the usual bubble wrap.  The smoothness of the paper makes it easier to get in and out of the cardboard box (I store mine in the box) and its much easier to open.  IMO this is far better than the bubble wrap.  It might be one to consider for all your deliveries??

Hi,

Yes, I do - approximately. We should have a significant amount of Black Stuff available around 8th January. I know it's a little while off but this really does have to be manufactured exactly when the time is right (material surplus, spare capacity on looms etc.).

Kind regards, Matt

Thanks FLD, vote duly noted Smile. On the 650g front, we've always stocked and sold a very nice 650g 2/2 Twill 12k Carbon Fibre but I'm certainly now looking into getting a Black Stuff version of the cloth too.

I've recently used this for a few parts too.  The weave blemishes are over stated in the description as it really is rather good.  I've found one or two slight pulls but most of the blemishes seem to be sightly tight tows and the blemish is very minor.  It is just like regular 200g cloth.  I'm making car panels which will be painted so its ideal for me.

I would also add a vote for a heavier material.  I buy 650g from ECF which is great.  Anything similar would be awesome.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the feedback. On the basis of what people have said we've got more 200g in production and your comments add weight to the call for a heavier weight version too so I'll start looking into that too.

All the best, Matt

HI Matt

I used my Black stuff in an infusion. Very pleased with it.

Another vote from me for Blackstuff 450g/mtr for the future.

Hi Lawrence,

Thanks for the feedback. The Black Stuff is proving popular so we may well look into doing something similar with 12k fibre which could be something like a 450 or 650g.

Hi Matt,

Got my 30m and is happy with it. Its cost savings as we are using it as reinforcement layers. Do let me know if you have 400gm black stuffs in future.

Cheers

Hi John,

Sure, the fabric is woven in 100m rolls (which is normal for a 200g cloth). We sell the fabric in 100m rolls and 10m rolls. When we sell a 10m roll, we create the roll on a 'rolling machine' which is just a simple automated machine for rolling off the master roll and accurately measuring onto another roll. We set the machine to 10m and it will measure off exactly a 10m roll (plus 40mm extra for the 'tape line').
