Hello,

I want to apply a carbon fibre skin to some motorcycle exhaust end caps.  The existing end caps are already made of carbon fibre, but they have become damaged.  I was planning to repair the mouldings from inside using high temperature resin, then skin the outside.  Due to the cost I was considering using the clear high temperature resin and mixing in some black pigment to apply as a basecoat rather than buy the separate black basecoat resin.  Is there any reason why this would not work?
