As said, what you are doing is very difficult especially on a silicone mould!!

No, the EC "clear Epoxy Gelcoat is no totally water clear, it has a slight bluish tinge, and is cloudy in thicknesses above 1 -2 mm...

I have used a product called "PermaCote", this is very clear, but not as clear as acrylic resins. I'm not sure who makes it, but I could probably find out.

What you're trying to do is very difficult, at getting a "perfect result" probably will not happen.

Hi

I just startet working on a water-clean Epoxi-resin  projekt.    ,  on  a 1 x 2 meter  silicone-mould,
My problem is the small-fisheying open spots on the rather round-zones of the mould after the firts resin-layer, so I was thinking about doing the second resin-layer with the Easy-composites "clear Epoxy-Gel-Coat",  only to cover-up these small open-fisheyes-holes.   Afterwards a third resin layer would therefore  (hopefully) cover up the entire mould-form

Still--im not shure if this "clear Epoxy-Gel-Coat" REALY is a clear as proclaimed with a layer-high of 2 /3 mm    ????

any users out there with practical Info´s  ?

Smile
