We will be making some floor sections for one of our cars, and since all the edges will be straight, it seems sensible to get a bandsaw to do the job - does anyone have any experience of this? It does the trick for about 30-40cm and then goes dull. It only cuts when the dremel is at it's highest setting. Anything less and it barely scratches the surface. It seems as if when the resin is heated while cutting, it sticks on the wheel and dulls it. I don't know if that's whats happening but I can see that the dimond wheel is covered with thick black stuff. I can sand it down with some abrasive paper but that doesn't seem to improve anything. Can anybody help me with that? Any methods for cleaning/sharpening the diamond wheel? If your wheels gum up it means your parts are not cured and still soft. Put some parts into your oven and cure completely say 150 f for a few hours. I cut my carbon with a Dremel with the shaft extension and cheap diamond disks. (some one shows these in a lower post on this list) I also use permagrit discs, but I perfer the diamond for my small parts. I don't have a buildup problem at all. I also go through Kevlar no problem with the diamond discs. Permagrit and kevlar! forget it! Hope this helps. Fred
