I do get the occasional strange request at carbonfibreworks, this one is for a mask to use at a masked ball, one layer of 450g carbon made with epoxy (wet lay vac bag) and a few coats of clear . All materials from Easy Composites.

Love the mask you have done there Chris, excellent finish on it too.

Not surprised that there can be so many unusual requests for work for you pros out there, and I don't think you will have any problems doing a toilet seat for someone warren, after all the shape is "bog-standard" ... sorry for the pun ... ;-D

SmileSmile At first I admit to being a little peeeeeeed off with the request but now I have done some research into what they sell for I think it may be worth making some moulds. Sorry for the "counter pun" but I could not resist Smile

Nice mask.

bog seats are actually quite popular and high on peoples "want" list, especially the petrol head scene.

However with a lot of the novelty things, going from something "everyone" wants to something people actually shell out the cash for is a different matter.

Who wouldnt want a nicely sculpted carbon fibre coffee table?? But who is committed enough to pay several grand for one??

If you could make the bog seats at a fairly cheap price (and still be worth your while obviously) then they could be a nice little earner on the novelty gift market.

How about this?? A mate made this carbon table.. The top insert was going to be chrome plated so that is why it is not showing carbon but this was done as a wrap over a foam core.... How about £50k+

I had a look on the internet too, and they sell for a good price £180 to £500 for standard shapes, still it could be a risky business that could go down the pan ! (drum-roll, cymbal).
