Hey guyz,

can I use High Density Polyurethane Foam Block or extruded polystyrene to create a mould, then finish it for a clean and smooth surface, and then infuse my carbon parts on it? Or should I only use it for creating the pattern of my carbon part?

Thank you in advance!

Yep I do that quite a lot for "one offs" You will have to seal the foam with something like Epoxy Resin to give you a surface that you can polish. The reason I say for "one offs" is that the pattern usually gets destroyed when you demould.
