I'm looking at options for clear coating CF+epoxy panels and was wondering what the difference is between a clear coat like Duratec Sunshield and more economical automotive clear coat sprays (like EW 2K High Gloss Aerosol)?

Duratec is easier to spray thicker for buildup or filling imperfections etc.

Two parts clears are typically thinner and more difficult to fill imperfections quickly.

I find the duratec whilst awesome to use has a downside in that when scratched it seems to leave a very white marking so any damage will show up worse than automotive clears.

You can use duratec like a primer for filling and sanding etc as it works great for this but then also spray finish with automotive two part clear.
