Will this work? Mabe release film then peel ply?

I'm trying to achieve a uniform flat finish on the back on the pre preg part, and not lines of resin that need sanding out to allow the cover to fit.

I tried release film and then breather and it worked great, but it left the face of the carbon with pin holes in.

Using xpreg xc110.

Thanks

If its a simple shaped part, you can make a matching inner mould and use the "compression" method to consolidate the parts.  You could also bolt them together, and vacuum bag the whole thing to help squeeze the mould halves together.

Can be a bit difficult sometimes as depending on mould shape, size etc, there might not quite be enough air paths into the pre-preg and making sure you get an even amount of force all over.
