If you don't want colours to bleed into the blue, then the blue base coat needs to be part cured until firm but tacky (B Stage) which can take 12-24 hours depending on temperature, thickness poured, volume of cast etc.  You can then in essence, blend the other colours on top.  

If you want it blended into the blue itself as a seamless blend but without colour bleeding, then that is more difficult.  Basically the thicker the resin, the less it will bleed colour to colour.  However the thicker it is, the less time you have to work as the resin is curing as you work.  Unfortunately there are no set fast rules for temperature or time as those are effected by quite a few factors so you need to keep a very close eye on it or do some experimenting.   The danger if you leave it too long is it won't mix or will be a thick gloop rather than a resin.  Too soon and your colours may blend and bleed too much.

Hi,

I am using glasscast 50 with 2 or 3 colours, base colour will be metallic blue, I would like to know what is the best way of adding a swirl effect in different colours that maintain there shape and don’t bleed in to the blue.

Do I mix all the colours at the same time, pour the base colour wait for it to cure a bit, and the use the other colours if so how long approx do I have to wait for the resin to cure to correct viscosity,

Or can I wait till the resin hits a certain temperature, if so what is that temperature please
