I would expect about an hour tops, probably closer to 45 minutes or so for it to reach a tacky stage. If you are a bit early it won't hugely matter, when you're applying wet-on-wet all you are looking to do is let the coating firm up so that it doesn't sag with the second application. 30/40 minutes will be fine.
