First time here, had doubts about posting it here or in the equipment session, please move the topic if it's on the wrong place.

So, I infuse mainly small parts (max 800mm long), and I have the undetectable leak problem.
I saw someone here on the TalkComposites forum writing about finding leaks by using a digital vaccum gauge, moving the bag while checking for any change in pressure, and the leak would be detectable by the change in pressure when the area around the bag is moved, which is only possible with a digital gauge because of it's sensitivity. On the other hand, there is the obvious solution of using a leak detector.

I would like some opinions about which one would be better for leak detection on small parts, a digital gauge or a real leak detector.

A digital gauge means you can more accurately monitor your vacuum level and specifically the leak drop test you can get a better picture of what is going on.  

Ultrasonic or electronic leak detectors have mixed reviews.  Some swear by them, others find they offer little benefit.

Bagging when inexperienced can seem a bit of an art but with practice and a bit of technique it does tend to come out ok in the end.
