Group: Administrators Posts: 2.5K, Visits: 8.5K	Hi, The ideal stage to cast the P6 to ensure adequate bonding would be to pour it at the firm but tacky stage of the cure. The PU in the P6 should then cross link and bond to the PX30. However it would be worth experimenting with your specific application as it is possible the soft flexible surface coating may peel or be able to tear off the rigid P6 surface if the bond is not that strong. Hi Warren Thanks for the reply I want to cast a low impact helmet specifically shaped to take some internal gizmos (no rating required) I imagine a soft tactile top layer would be a nice touch. I will do a test first ... just thought i would put the question out there in case someone had tried and it failed. My plan is to make a silicone mould of the already constructed master, slush a 1-2ml layer PX60 followed by a P6 layer followed by another layer of P6 containing milled carbon fibre ... if required another layer of P6.
