Would there be any disadavantsges in using glasscast 10 to seal the edge of wood prior to using glasscast 50. This is to reduce the time between sealing and the main pour as the 10 is a faster cure resin. But I I don’t want this if adhesion or wood penitration is inferior.

No problem at all doing that. GlassCast 10 and 50 use the same resin just with different speed hardeners.
