Hi - I have a large bonnet mould and wanted to check my thinking on positioning ports and spiral before infusing this for the first time.
It is 1.3m x 1.1m and the layup is 200gsm CF, 295gsm CF, 2mm soric (2 layers selectively used), CF reinforcing round edges and over the soric, 295gsm CF.
I was proposing to put 1 inlet centrally at the front and 2 vac ports on the 'ears' of the bonnet at the back.
I'm expecting the soric will help the infusion and it will have spiral + mesh.
Does this look a sensible approach?
Any changes you would suggest on placement?
(I know its quite a thin stack but its on a rallycar with 4 bonnet pins and we've run some really flimsy GFRP versions before so not concerned on that front).

Thanks
Stuart

Why they make it look so easy, is because they are well prepared I guess Smile
When you start a project, make sure you work in a good and clean environment and that everything is ready to use.

good luck with your project Wink
