I'm trying to find a suitable resin system or clear gel coat that is safe for food use with a decent temperature allowance.

Is there such a material? I've been doing a bit of searching and found the ART resin from the USA which is seemingly ok for food use. But im looking for something that i can possibly use in infusion or snap cure compression moulding.

Any help or direction  greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Garry

Thanks for the reply matt, I will certainly make up some tooling for the plates and bowls and then at least It gives me the choice of making them out of preg or doing a infusion.

I think I will make a few test coupons to see what works best, but Im thinking prepreg will be my first option and I can look into clear coats in the future. It will be interesting to see how well it reacts against cutlery scraping against it.

Once ive made some parts i will post them up on here.
