Good to hear!

Yep on my first part, the peel ply was too small, now I let it extend aprox 3 cm and it is easier.

cheers

Sometimes ive had some stubborn bits and even when tugging is very hard work.  I find with such bad bits, tug it, snip the edge, tug again.

I had an acheing arm after ripping the peel ply off my bonnet!!

Guys,
I've took it off!!!
But Jesus, it took me 90 minutes! I am still conveinced that I did something wrong.
Thank for the suggestions. I'll certainly do that way on my next attempt!
Cheers.

for future reference, always make the peel ply a fair bit bigger than the carbon.  That way you have an edge to tug at to break the peel ply free initially.  Once you get a bit loose, sharp tugs will bring it off.  Also only try and pull it off in thin strips.

It will be tough to get off, but trust me, it does come off. I had the same problem on my first part... it was a real pain in the %&§ to get off. Try snipping it into manageable strips and try to get underneath the peel ply with a sharp knife.

In future, make sure the peel ply is over lapping the reinforcement a little, so that you have something to grab onto, to make seperation easier. It is on there tough for sure and you need to apply force to remove it, careful not to flex your part too much.

hope it helps

cheers

Hi guys I've made my first piece and I am happy as a child.
Although it didn't come out perfect (some air voids in the corners, etc.) I am pleased with it as first attempt.
The only thing is that the infusion mesh and the peel ply are completely "fused" together with the part. I have managed to get the mesh off in some places, but the rest is stuck on the part.
The peel ply though, is completely fused with the fibre, there no way to get it off.
What did I wrong?? Perhaps too much resin?
Thanks in advance for your help.
