I bought a resin infusion kit last year and had a go at making a flat panel which came out reasonably well, but didn't have a perfect surface finish as I had a slight vacuum leak and it ended up a bit 'resin light' with some imperfections aligned with the fibres.

I have been away with work a lot so not done much since then but made another flat panel last week. This time with a soric core. The surface finish on this is much better but it is possible to see some cloudy streaks in the finish. How is the best way to minimise these in the future?

My thoughts were; it could be due to using the easylease which I used last year as I believe it goes off with time when opened or perhaps I didn't buff out the easylease enough when applying layers. Incidentally. It didn't feel like the panel released as easily as previously, which may add weight to the first point.

What's the best approach to minimise this cloudiness? Try some new easylease?

Thanks.

I think I broke most of those rules other than not over applying it.

I'd been using 2 microfibres cloths; 1 to apply and 1 to buff. What would you recommend using instead?
