I would like to put some threaded inserts into my finished carbon fibre piece, bonded like you guys did with the fittings on the car bonnet instructional video project. I have see Warren mention 'off the shelf' inserts that have the perforated or scored load plate on them for better bonding but can't find a source of these off the shelf inserts. 

Yeah .. the "T-Nuts" also work well if you flatten down the "spikes" and score the flat side heavily with a file or dremel cutter - Then just bond them directly on a peel-ply surface or sanded down ..

A laminated on patch of CF with a hole on top makes it even stronger and nicer looking ..
