I want to make some one off ducts in Carbon, smooth on the inside for airflow. I've made a rough male plug and about to skin it and apply pattern coat primer.
My question, can I infuse straight onto this surface, then just remove the plug/mould from inside (ensuring there's no mechanical lock) or will the primer not tolerate the resin? Seems a waste of materials to make moulds as they'll be fairly big

Another option is to make your plug longer on the ends than your part, essentially making flanges on it. Then you don't have to worry about envelope bagging and crushing your plug
