What is the best way to soften the glue on the back of pro finish fabric?
As I've got a complex shape which is tricky to get the fabric to lay down in to.

You can heat it a bit with a heat gun but it just isn't great for complex parts.

What about misting the back of regular twill with a spray tack? Just to hold it slightly.
I have aerofix 2..
The reason i ask is because i want to lay up with two pieces of fabric instead of one.
I made it with one piece in the pic below but is messy around the top

Yep, I prefer that to using set-weave fabrics. Gives you the same stability, but I find you can still massage it into place for a time (after too long the adhesive becomes a bit too solid and the fabric handles a bit more like a standard set-weave).
