I made a wing mirror today. Went fairly well. Perfect vacuum from the off etc. However, the resin shot through the mesh pretty quickly. The surface is a bit dull and pinholey. What I observed was a quick infusion through the mesh and, after clamp off, there seemed to be some fine bubbles come from the stack. I assume that the resin shot through the mesh and the fine bubbles was the resin infusing into the cloth (1x660g carbon). This leads me to believe that if I could slow the rate of infusion it would infuse into the cloth at the same time as it flows through the mesh. Now I think I could do this by either only opening the clamp a small amount or by infusing just through the peel ply (its a small part). Does this sound like a reasonable conclusion and course of action?
