I've agreed a bit of a cool job. Customer oens a dutch GRP velomobile and wants to replace some of the GRP panels with prepreg carbon to save weight.
This particular model is interesting in that the monocoque is also composite, which makes evenmore room for weigh savings.

I will post photos of the project as I go along.

Here's the beast:

Nice to see youre prepping it for envelope bagging. I prefer envelope bagging these days.  So much easier to rule out sources of leaks.

Yea, its what I learnt to do first. Then I did a course at Bristol College with the Composites Gateway and did a couple of infusions and had to do bagging film with rabbit ears and all that, it was almost depressing. I took the idea to prepreg thinking it would save on bagging film, but all it does is take twice as long, its full of leaks and when its sealed, the heat softens the sealing tape and pulls it off the mould, useless. Worst of all, it ends up using ALOT more sealing tape, which is where most of the costs in bagging consumables is.

Besides, you can't really call it a "bag" if you can't put the mould inside it Smile

When youre done, carefully slice one end of the bag and reuse it as a bin liner Wink
