Group: Forum Members Posts: 135, Visits: 1.6K	Hey guys, just finally got done getting all the peelply and godamn mesh out of the part. I made I bit resin rich cos I was trying some things out. Well the part came out great and pinhole free. The downside is getting that stuff out. Sticks like s*** to blanket to be honest. I read somewhere quite a while ago though, that you can put a layer of perforated release film between peelply and mesh? would this work, has anyone tried this? cheers

I use it on large parts or thin/lightweight parts where it is easy to damage the part when tearing the peel ply off. I sometimes pull back one edge of the ply a couple of inches, then put cuts every couple of inches and tear it off in strips. I find it easier to remove the ply with the part still in the mould, that way the part is supported and you can even kneel on it to hold it down. Once you have pulled off 4 or 5 inches fold it back on itself and grip it with a pair of welding clamps (the mole grip type) and it should come off pretty easily. The more resin rich the part the harder it is to remove the ply. Warren Carbon Copies Ltd

Group: Administrators Posts: 2.5K, Visits: 8.5K	perforated release film will work for this purpose. Just slow the infusion slightly as it takes a bit longer to filter through the film. We always recommend tearing off the peel ply in thin strips. Ive tried pulling it off in one bit and even on a small mould you end up giving yourself a hernia if youre not careful!!
