Back in 2011 I purchased a range of equipment from EC and up until now I was using the resin catchpot as a vacuum chamber to degas my resin because it came as part of the resin infusion kit.

But even with the admittedly small quantity of resin I have been needing to degas recently (maybe 15g resin plus half qty hardener) I was finding that it would reach the top of a pint cup inside my makeshift vacuum chamber aka resin catchpot and need alot of cleaning up.

So, rather than get the huge 26+ litre EC degassing chamber I've decided to take a punt on the vac-it-pro 3 gallon vacuum chamber from the USA.

I will provide an update once I receive it but youtube videos from users of the product seem positive and the design seems nice.  I first came across it when a youtube user meganbeads has a video degassing resin, admittedly a different type of resin to what we are using but the vac chamber itself does the job.

If its reached the top of the cup, you need to warm the resin a bit. If you get a bigger chamber and degass, it will just keep rising and rising and rising and turn almost into a foam. Another method is to degass, introduce air, then degass again. This helps keep the resin off the sides of the cup.
